Altaaqa Global has been nominated for the “Energy Excellence” award by a group of industry experts at the Energy Institute in London, United Kingdom, for its Yemen power project.
The annual Energy Institute Awards recognizes individuals and organizations in the energy industry for setting standards of excellence and innovation. The winners will be announced on 13 November at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel in London during a ceremony hosted by Huw Edwards, respected news correspondent and broadcaster.
With a record-breaking 23-day installation of a 54 MW power plant in Aden, Yemen, Altaaqa Global is being recognized for rebuilding a war-torn nation through energy. Benefitting more than half a million citizens, the company also provided job opportunities for Yemenis and supported local school children through educational initiatives. The same project has also won “Power Project of the Year” at the Middle East Electricity Awards in February.
