Altaaqa Wins “Power Project of the Year” at MEE Awards 2015

Altaaqa Alternative Solutions, a Zahid Group company, won “Power Project of the Year” at the Middle East Electricity (MEE) Awards 2015, held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre on March 2.

Altaaqa was recognized for the successful completion of their record-breaking 95 MW temporary power station in Al-Kharj, Saudi Arabia, which has garnered a total of three nominations and two awards since it was completed in 2014.  Mobilized, installed and commissioned in just 22 days, it was the country’s biggest IPP project using high speed diesel generators in a single site to date.

Speaking from the event, Mr. Amr Khashoggi, Vice President Group Affairs at Zahid Group, said, “Altaaqa Alternative Solutions is honored to receive this covetous award by MEE.
