ArteCare Opens 32nd Care Facility, Strengthening Regional Cluster in Liebenau

ArteCare, a subsidiary of Perpetua, has opened its 32nd care facility in Liebenau, just one month after the successful launch of its “Birkenblick” site. This new residence strategically strengthens an existing cluster of two nearby homes, enabling greater operational efficiency in the region.

Intentionally modest in scale, the newly built facility offers 44 single-room care apartments and 6 assisted living units. It is managed by Kathrin Heller, who also leads ArteCare’s established site in Calden, and the opening was welcomed by area manager Björn Bettermann as the first residents began to move in.

The two-winged facility was developed by ArteCare’s long-standing partner, Carestone. Built on the grounds of a former sports field, the building spans approximately 3,000 square meters over three floors. It features bright communal areas, a small in-house bistro, a sun terrace, and attractive outdoor spaces for residents, along with dedicated areas for staff. The building is designed for high energy efficiency, incorporating an insulated German KfW-Q-standard facade, a photovoltaic system, and a heat pump.

With the addition of Liebenau, ArteCare now operates 32 facilities across northern and western Germany, providing daily care for approximately 2,750 residents and employing more than 2,150 staff members.
