ISM–AAE–AWP Joint Venture in Saudi Arabia
As part of Zahid Group’s commitment to advancing the Kingdom’s manufacturing capabilities and strengthening local industrial ecosystems, Industrial Solutions for Manufacturing (ISM) is pleased to announce the signing of a Shareholder Agreement with Advanced Armour Engineering (AAE) and Advanced Wear Parts (AWP) to establish the ISM–AAE–AWP Joint Venture in Saudi Arabia.
This strategic alliance represents a significant step toward expanding the Kingdom’s high-value manufacturing footprint across both the commercial and defense sectors.
This joint venture brings together the complementary capabilities of three industry leaders:
- Industrial Solutions for Manufacturing (ISM) — a subsidiary of Zahid Industries — is a Saudi industrial entity with a growing presence in manufacturing and engineering solutions.
- Advanced Armour Engineering (AAE) specializes in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of armoured vehicle bodies, supported by advanced production facilities in the UAE.
- Advanced Wear Parts (AWP) provides expertise in wear parts and heavy-duty attachments serving a wide range of commercial machinery applications.
Purpose of the Joint Venture
The joint venture is being established to localize manufacturing in Saudi Arabia, supporting Vision 2030 and the Kingdom’s drive for industrial self-reliance. Its scope includes:
- Manufacturing buckets and attachments for construction and material-handling machinery used across commercial sectors.
- Manufacturing armored bodies and specialized components to support the defense industry, leveraging AAE’s engineering and production expertise.
Strategic Impact
The ISM–AAE–AWP Joint Venture represents a forward-looking step toward:
- Enhancing domestic manufacturing capabilities and reducing reliance on imports.
- Supporting national defense readiness through localized production of armored solutions.
- Strengthening the industrial value chain through advanced engineering, technology transfer, and job creation.
- Positioning Saudi Arabia as a regional hub for both heavy-equipment attachments and armored-body manufacturing.
