It is with the greatest sorrow and regret that I must inform you of the tragic death of several of our colleagues at the Zahid Group’s Riyadh Kilo 17 Facility as a result of an explosion of a gas tanker adjacent to the Group’s Facility on Khurais Road in the early hours of Thursday morning. A number of other Zahid Group employees were seriously injured by the blast and have been hospitalised.
The explosion totally destroyed the CMD facilities and caused serious structural damage to other Group buildings and facilities. Much machinery and equipment was also lost.
Our thoughts and prayers are with those who lost their lives and with their families. May Allah have mercy upon the souls of the deceased and give their families and all of us the strength to deal with this painful loss.
We also wish all those that were injured a speedy and full recovery. We are dedicating all the necessary resources to address this crisis with a view to rebuilding our operations within the shortest possible time, while at the same time continuing to provide exceptional service to our valued customers and our great nation.
I ask that we come together as a group and work diligently to address the challenges of the rebuilding and recovery efforts. We will provide regular updates as these efforts continue.
