Zahid Learning Institute held its prestigious “2018 Saudization Programs Graduation Ceremony” on 21st November, 2018 in Jeddah. The event celebrated the accomplishments of 45 National Graduates (male and females alike) who successfully graduated from diverse National Programs conducted across the Kingdom.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of several esteemed guests such as Dr. Abdullah, Dean of Makkah College of Technology, Mr. Mohammed Jalal, Deputy General Manager of Ministry of Labor and Social Development of Makkah Province, General Managers in key government entities. Mr. Yousuf T. Zahid, Group President of Heavy Machinery, Mr. Hamza W. Zahid, Group Executive Vice President, Mr. Samer Al Ahmadi, Vice President Human Resources, and Ms. Hala Y. Salah, Vice President Group Affairs were key representatives of Zahid Group during the ceremony.
Dr. Abdullah stressed on the importance of embodying a unique professional identity to the successful graduates. He emphasized the importance of adhering to our shared values and beliefs that will empower them to pursue their lifelong learning quest to distinguish themselves in their future career aspirations. Mr. Mohammed Jalal also addressed Zahid Group’s efforts to serve young Saudi nationals ensuring the rightful delivery of the necessary training for success in the workplace and ultimately their lives to set them up for productive futures.
Zahid Learning Institute has been offering a diverse range of competency-based National Programs so as to equip Nationals with key competencies to enter specialized industries via Zahid Group of Companies. As diversity, inclusion and competence are inherent in our culture, we have had 414 graduates from different specializations with 39 successful female graduates. The 2018 National Graduates have successfully graduated from the following programs:
- Apprenticeship Program
This specialized program facilitates trainees to master key competencies required of a service technician. The Program is divided into 3 years, in which Year 1 provides key foundational skills & knowledge and Year 2 & 3 are more intense which cover advance product systems and practices. This Program has had 172 graduates since its inception in 2003 while the 2018 Graduation event had 22 graduates from all regions.
- Parts Counter Development Program
The Parts Counter Development Program, which runs for twelve weeks, had been piloted in 2018 for the purpose of enriching National Talent in our Parts Operations. The program has had 19 successful graduates who have been instilled with vital competencies to be able to deliver superior experiences to our customers.
- Service Controller Program
This three week program has had 4 graduates equipped with key competencies to perform all procedural administrative applications of the Service Workshop. As our ongoing commitment to enrich and diversify human capital, 2 of the graduates from this pilot program have been females, as we continue in our pursuit to empower more competent females across the Group.
