From Jeddah to Qiddiya: Caterpillar Leadership Visits Altaaqa and Solution Valley to Advance Strategic Energy Collaboration

Altaaqa Alternative Solutions welcomed senior Caterpillar management, led by Jason Hedge, Global Rental Power Director, to its Head Office at Zahid Business Park in Jeddah. The visit underscored the strong partnership between Zahid and Caterpillar and their shared commitment to delivering innovative energy solutions across Saudi Arabia.

During the Jeddah stop, the delegation toured Altaaqa’s main facility and Zahid Business Park, gaining insight into the company’s integrated power and utility capabilities. The team then travelled to Riyadh to visit Solution Valley and meet with Basem Al Salloum, CEO of Solution Valley, and Sherif Aldaly, General Manager of Altaaqa. Their itinerary included key project sites, notably Qiddiya, where Altaaqa is powering one of the Kingdom’s most ambitious developments with a 50 MW solution supporting ongoing construction.

Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration in utility-scale power, exploring opportunities in data centres, gas and turbine-based generation, and integrating advanced digital and remote monitoring technologies to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
